No Exit

"No Exit", an article by Daniel Lazare in the Oct. 1 issue of The Nation, begins by asking "What does the constitution mean?". This review discusses Laurence Tribe's new book and considers which rights, if any, are specifically guaranteed by the constitution. We are left to wonder if the constitution is anything more than a vague labyrinth in which any meaning can be found.
Rather than "draw" something, a more graphic approach seemed right this time.

Very Smart. All I can say is I love it. That and I hope you didn't have to hand write any of that yourself.

Thanks Chris. No handwriting or drawing here, a pure cut and paste job. Kind of goes against the grain to do that but that's what it needed this time. I did scan some watercolors and layer them in the background, that made me feel less guilty.

what an awesome concept, Doug! i so dig the maze. it was so good, at first i had to stare at it to see 'what' you did. yep, i'm slow sometimes. really nice. again, i get inspired how you approach each assignment in a unique way. you rock. ps thanks SO much for turning me on to Louise Bourgeois’ insomnia drawings!! i gotta check out a book on her work from the library...

Hey Doug,

I love this piece. I just realized how great it looks, on first second and third glance. Hey, man, recently I've seen more of your stuff than of yourself. Don't get lost in a work maze!

Love,
Nico
