Two new pieces for The Nation.Bright Oblivion, by Emily Wilson, reviews John Tipton's chilling new translation of Sophocles' Ajax. This new version modernizes the language of the play and makes a clear connection to the Vietnam and Iraq wars.
Out of Place, by Corey Robin, is an article about "how the Conservatives have turned a sense of exclusion into a powerful philosophy of self-styled truancy". I chose to illustrate the moment where the "party" of the privileged comes to an end.
